Our main business activity is now focussed on the Business Continuity sector and the Critical Electrical Power infrastructures that support this.
We are operational throughout the UK and Ireland, having a full-time team of 18th edition engineers, project managers, technical support managers and workshop engineers.
HISTORY
Fortitude Specialist Electrical Contractors, formerly known as Mercer Holdings, was formed in 1986 conducting mainly general industrial, commercial and domestic electrical works.
Having been initially recommended to the Station Services Officer at RAF Upavon, our quality, efficiency and professional manner in which we performed the initial MOD installation work gave rise to further electrical projects in many different areas of the MOD establishment, eventually introducing into a new field of high-end Military technology and electrical systems.
Exposure to these areas of specialist electrical work has furnished FSECL with considerable knowledge and experience of advanced and complex electrical systems.

The company was formed under its former name of Mercer Holdings, by brothers Richard and Steve Mercer.
2001

Qualified Engineer and Project Manager Keith Butler takes full ownership of the Company and doubles the turnover in the following years.

Nathan Clements becomes a Director and Shareholder to further cement his commitment to the company.

As part of a Company re-brand, Mercer Holdings changed its name to Fortitude Specialist Electrical Contractors to better reflect the companies business activities and strengths.
